Rheem RETEX-13 Performance Self-Modulating 1.97 GPM Electric Tankless Water Heater

I replaced a 50 gallon hot water tank with this awesome little unit. No more worries about a big tank of water one day leaking on the basement floor. Most hot water tanks are set for 120-140 degrees which means you always have to add cold water to cool down the water for a shower. I just set my Rheem for 95 degrees and leave it there. That is plenty hot enough for a hot shower and think about how much less stress I am putting on the pipes at a much lower hot water temperature. I also installed low flow shower heads which I discovered work great and I don't notice any difference from my old shower head. I even turn the shower head volume down a little while in the shower. I'm not sure if two shower heads could be used simultaneously but in my house that isn't an issue. No more paying electricity for constantly keeping a 50 gallon hot water tank hot. Supposedly, it will be a net savings on electricity too. Yes, it uses a lot of electricity when in use but it only uses electricity when in use. My only wish is that I had installed this long ago.
