I have installed 3 Lube Locker transmission gaskets on my rebuilds and one in a diff housing. I have yet to have a single drop of fluid from any of my installs. This includes one 700r4 that had some pitting and small 'dings' on the gasket mating surface. I wasn't sure the Lube Locker would work without some additional silicone on that one...but it turned out to be just as good as the others.Follow the OEM recommended torque sequence and specs, make sure the surfaces are clean and dry...and you will love the results. Well worth the money spent.

I've used LL for a few years now in my differential. I quite like them. Light coat of oil, put the gasket on, then torque to spec. They don't "creep" like rubber gaskets do and necessitate multiple torquing passes. And because they are rigid, there's no need to use any tack to hold the gasket in place during install. Key bit here is, however, to prep your surfaces well. They should be smooth and free of other sealers / debris

I had modified a transmission pan, and the welding heat meant that I was having trouble getting it perfectly straight again, regardless of how much I pounded on it. Two lesser gaskets both failed - they looked dry and tight when I first installed them, but after 1 or 2 heating/cooling cycles, they both leaked like waterfalls. It's not as thick as I was expecting, but the metal core is good against squeeze-out and the built-in silicone that also lines the bolt holes is a nice touch (and probably helps a lot too).
