Combat Sports Big Pad

High quality for the price (I got it for $75 on a sale)It's perfect for heavy kicks and knees, especially if you don't have access to a heavy bag, but do have access to training partners.It's not too hard nor too soft. If you're hurting your foot kicking it, then you need to correct your technique and use more of your shin. If done properly it shouldn't hurt, if it does hurt and you're kicking properly, then you need to condition your shins more by kicking something like this kick shield.The shield can do body punches, but isn't the best for head punches or elbows. Due to the weight, the holder has a risk of getting knocked off balance when holding the pad high for a head shot. It can still be done with proper technique and a good training partner, but it would be better to use focus mitts or Thai pads for punches and elbows to the head.But when it comes to kicks and knees, there's no other tool better for a coach than this.

The product is excellent. Our dojo bought 4 of these and 4 of another style and these 4 are 10 times better than the other type. These have the texture and feel of a good kick or punch impact. A little heavy for children under 9 but they manage the best they can. If the child is small they just leave them on the ground as they children can't kick high anyway. Perfect for adults meaning any child/adult who who can lift 5 lbs or so 10 years old and up... The kicking pads are large which is nice, easy to hold, kicking surface area feel is excellent and best of all they are built to last. We have had them for 2 months now and use them 3 times a week by both the children and adult Shorinji Kempo classes. So far no copmplaints as they look extremely durable.

This just arrived, and is PERFECT. The quality is evident right out of the box! It's heavy, it's dense, it's got a great texture and heft. The handles are substantial and provide perfect grip. Buy this! It's actually on a deep sale too!

If you plan to do a lot of kicking drills and other high impact striking this shield is a most have. And this bad boy is like butter in the hand of a training with a heavy landing kicker delivering the shots. I've use a few types and so far this stands the tales, time & use. All around very good quality, good stitching and the material is soft enough but firm to take the shots. Looked over dozens of reviews online and all kinds of shield pads. Ii feel this is the most value for the price and it gets the job.

Bought this for my kids. It seems sturdy and easy to use. The hand holds on the back have stitching and rivets with soft but durable feeling leather. The strike face definitely has enough cushioning. I’m looking forward to having my kids kick the crap out of this thing.

HI, I've been practicing kyokushin karate for 15 years, still competing worldwide and I own a dojo. In my dojo i have ISAMI pads/shields which is top japanese brand. This COMBAT protector is in the same level that those ISAMI protectors, the price is extremely low compared with the high quality of this COMBAT shield.This shield, is heavier than I spected but it absorbs the kicks a loooot!! it absorbs the impact way better than the japanese pads I own. For the kicker, this pad feels very tight, but you dont feel any pain in your feet when kicking. They feel very very similar to my FAIRTEX kick pads, which are made in Thailand. It will long for ever!!! this pad is so very well made!!Im 100% satisfied whith this pad, and I think I will buy 3 more for my Dojo.

My 20 year old son is a black belt in karate and I was looking for training equipment for him. Many of the other kick pads said they were suitable for training in a variety of sports like basketball, football, etc. I needed something that was specifically for karate and able to withstand major force. This pad seems like it will last forever. It is large, hard, and absorbs the force of his punches and kicks. I don't look forward to when he asks me to hold it, but I can do it without getting hurt! It is well sewn, and has very sturdy handles. It was a great purchase!

I asked my son to hold it to let me kick it, he refused worrying that I'll kick it too hard and knock him over. Great product.>>03/30/2016Comparing this to the Tiger Claw brand at the martial art class, this padding is a bit too stiff, especially for a younger kid. I kick it myself and it feels stiff to the point where it hurts a little. Still, I'm not gonna knock off any stars, it IS well made, wish the padding was not so stiff.
