Outstanding book for crochet. Beautiful large photos - you can EASILY see all stitches. Accurate and easy directions. This will be my new birthday or holiday gift. Great tool to teach our children how to crochet.

This is a good book for beginners like me. Pictures are nice, as well as the clear. The instructions are well- written and easy to understand.

Everything was explained, clear visuals and all around good instructional crochet book! The colored pictures were very helpful and the book is spiral which is a major plus to follow when your hands are busy! Not one thing was forgotten from yarn, crochet hooks, tension and the best instructions ever— great for a beginner like me!!! Don’t hesitate to buy this book! 👍

This is a great book for beginners. It has clear pictures and good written directions. It has one error. The picture of the hand holding the hook in the knife position is incorrect. Also the author states that the beginning chain 2 and the chain 3 for the half double crochet and double crochet count as the first stitch. She should state that it does or does not count, depending on what the project pattern designer specifies.

This book is great! As someone who struggles to learn without an in person teacher, I absolutely love this book. The directions are clear and simple, and the graphics are easy to understand. I plan on sharing with my kids too.

This is a very nice little book for someone like me who taught themselves to crochet (and not very well)!!! The pages are laminated and the instruction are clear and precise! I'm gonna enjoy trying crochet again with this book! Thanks! Oh, and delivery was in less than 24 hours! WOW!

Its a simple and good thin book with large pictures to show you how to begin. I practiced the basic stitch and then when my brain memorized it I went on to the second and thord one. I do not understand why the stitches are named the way they are but it seems to me co fusing, because you would think that for a double stitch, you jump two loops or stiches but this isn't so. I guess its an American thing. Im jist a beginner and do not know mich bit this is a good starter book. Buy some yarn at the dollar tree and a few basic crochet hooks from a craft store. I have three. A 4mm and a slightly thocker one and then a 6mm I think. I prefer the 4 size. It depends on the thickness of the yarn you use. Anyway, this is a good starter book. I am still not a pro but I can stictch a scarf if I wanted to.

I returned it because it seemed too basic. It has helpful information about yarn and hook sizes and the instructions look easy to follow. It's also very short but the color photos are nice and it is priced well.
