Just like what I was looking for.
It is the same style of ball used in my daughter's 8U softball league. She hasn't been hit yet by one of these (hopefully never), so I don't know if it will hurt less that the firmer balls of the same size (they hurt!).

Seam problem
So bought these for our 10U travel softball team indoor practices and here it is March 1st and several of the balls seams are unraveling.

Great for practicing fly balls.
These are great for practicing fly balls or for use in the gym when the weather is bad. We haven't used for hitting, just fielding.

FlexiBall
After an exhaustive 2 week search I tried Amazon not expecting any success but, low and behold not only did I find the FlexiBalls I got a good price in the process. I fully expect to be a regular on the site.

great for indoor use
these practice balls work great for indoor gym use and last a really long time. only down side is the synthetic materialgets very dirty quickly.
