I purchase to use on highlights I used on the tip of my natural hair to prevent brassiness. So far I happy with it my purchase.

This purple shampoo worked really well at removing brassiness in curly hair. It is the only Curly Girl Friendly shampoo I know of, which is a major plus if you're looking for a sulfate free option. The only problem I had with the product was that it wasn't moisturizing. I had to use a deep conditioner afterwards because of how dry my hair felt afterwards. The scent wasn't overly powerful so that was a plus. I recommend using a very moisturizing conditioner following the shampoo.

7-6-21 Edit: After using this product for 7 weeks, I can see that the product does keep color from fading and getting brassy on my auburn-colored hair. The color does not wash out as easily and turn a lighter and brassier shade of red. My colored hair stays much truer to the color I put in until it begins growing out.As I get older, my auburn hair has turned dull with gray in it. Trying to add auburn color back to hair results in the color fading out quickly and turning a brassy orange. My hairstylist told me to try a purple shampoo to counteract the brassiness. She said it corrects the color and keeps it from fading. Obviously, this has to be used continuously after coloring it. So far, I have only used this shampoo three times, but it seems to be keeping my color fresh and bright. I usually see fading after a couple shampoos. So far, so good.This shampoo is a fairly large bottle of 8.4 fluid ounces. You do not need a lot of this shampoo. It is very thick. The product is vegan, sulfate-free, petrochemical-free, and cruelty-free. It is 97% natural and contains blueberries and black currants. Because this product is sulfate-free, it can take up to 8 washes to remove all the sulfates and silicone built up on the hair. So far, I think my hair is fading much less than it usually does after coloring. Just a tip: I do notice that you really need to wash your hands and scrub your nails thoroughly after using this shampoo. Otherwise, you can end up with purple nails and purple-tinged skin. The first time that happened, I just used some isopropyl alcohol under my nails to remove the color. Since then, I've been using gloves when shampooing.This seems like a helpful product for brassiness. I can only speak about how it has affected my auburn-colored hair. I understand it is great for blondes and grey hair also. As of right now, I would recommend this to others who put auburn shades in their hair and have a problem with fading. I will come back and update this review after I have longer results to report. I would give my initial results (based on 3 shampoos) 5 stars.

This blonde correcting shampoo is great and works quite nicely for blonde hair but have also found it will work on brown hair that you want to get some brassy tones out. It is a purple shampoo that will neutralize yellow or brassy tones in the hair quite well. It smells beautifully and has a nice lather. I usually let it sit for at least 5 to 10 minutes to really let the pigments do their work and then rinse out the rest. My hair looks and feels great. All in all very happy with this shampoo.

I just cannot recommend this product.It did not take the yellow tones out of my gray hair and unevenly deposited color! It took me a whole day to get the purple off my cuticles and under my nails, and left my hair ridiculously dry. No, no, no!

Great blonde toner conditioner I did leave on a bit longer to get the shade of blonde I wanted but definitely will buy again
