Love this design

For a more rich or deeper sound add crumpled up news paper in the bongo side of the cajonAdd crumpled up news paper in the corners of the higher pitched side or snare side for richer more recordable soundKeep adding paper until the vibration disapates completely on both sidesDrums are the hardest to record in a studio, same rule applied for any procession instrumentThere are many different ways to play with this design in which I can appreciateComfort, reliable, simple, sound quality is adjustable with newspaper for more richer deeper toneMost important AFFORDABLE

Very comfortable, and has nice sound.

I bought this for my husband. He loves it! It’s nice that he doesn’t have to bend over like he does with his cajon that he has now. Looks to be of good quality, nice and light weight compared to his traditional bongos. Now he needs a short drum mic to go with it for when he is playing with the band. The one side has 2 different tones for the bongo, and the other has a nice snare sound! Fun little instrument.

Beautiful sound and sturdy design

I love it. Had it for few years already and it's still sturdy and delivers a beautiful sound.

The sound is nice but I would

Smaller than other Cajons I have seen this shape. That was the only real bummer. The sound is nice but I would, personally, look for a bigger instrument that is more comfortable for an adult to hold and play.

Great sound for the value

Yes played at Beatlefest jam in Rye NY 50 Beatlefans singing I played the cajon using the snare and flipping to bongo side got many compliments on the sound played it with Vater Monster brushes sitting on a cajon with Monster brush in right hand as a bass and Meinl cajon on a coffe table left hand as a snare , recorded it sounds like the snare sound Ringo used amazing sound sound carried over 50 people singing and 10 acoustic guitars and bass , great value for the money and fit right in a small overnight bag highly recommended

Good for for 3 months of casual use.

I've had meinl hand percussion products in the past, lasted for years of professional use. This de-laminated in months. I guess they gave up on making real instruments. Do not buy

great sound!

I'm really enjoying this drum. I love how portable it is. I also really love how you can flip it upsidedown to have a different sounding drum. So cool!

Great piece!

I love this little drum. Because I cannot play it hard enough with my ultra-sensitive hands for prolonged periods without hurting or drumsticks to make up for it, I gifted this hybrid to a dear friend. She and her wife love it, too!
