It can leave your hair feeling a bit "crunchy" if you use too much, so I use the matching curl cream first and it works really well to keep my hair soft (cream) and curls defined (this product). I use this on my mixed daughters hair, it works really well to define curls and eliminate frizz I've tried several products and this one by far leaves the hair the softest and didn't make it seem like there is any product in there.

One of the best soft curl hair butters

I have been using this product for 2 years now, and am very pleased with it. I have soft wavy curls and I use this as a conditioner, and sometimes as a live in. It lets my curls take on their natural waves and leaves my hair soft and looking great.
