This tool is amazing. I was never a big fab of pocket holes, but on mt recent project it was a necessity. I was surprised how well built this was an easy to use. I am glad I made this purchase. It makes complicated joining a breeze in the future.

Tried a few other lower priced variations, but decided to pony up for the “real thing.” I do think this pocket jig bundle is expensive for what it is, but it works 10/10 for creating pocket holes quick and easy.My first project involved me creating about 40 holes across 10 different pieces of wood and it held up great! Just be sure to unclog the wood pieces once in a while or the release lever won’t allow the main section to move back to its original position. Highly recommend this for anyone making repeated pocket holes.

Great addition to my woodshop

Of all the jigs, this one balances portability and functionality the best. It is a complete pocket screw solution with a reasonable starter supply of screws.The most portable jigs are fiddly to use, because you need to line them up and clamp them onto boards with separate clamps. That is significantly slower than using the 520.On the other hand, the most full-featured jigs are essentially stationary. If you always work at a workbench, that's fine. But the 520 can be carried around easily and that's convenient for a lot of jobs such as modifying cabinets that have already been installed.The only downside I've found so far is that sometimes the clamping pad won't retract because the area behind it gets packed with sawdust. This can be avoided by tilting the jig sideways or otherwise brushing out that area before it gets clogged.

Wow this this is a game changer!! I had a little manual pocket hold jig that I had to line up myself and clamp down, it took forever to get any holes done. I'd still be drilling holes with that one right now if I didn't get this new jig- and that project was weeks ago..... This thing is soooo amazing. It clamps easy, changes size easy, has a locking feature that keeps the opening just wide enough for the wood to slide in so you don't have to clamp as far for a large project. It swivels so you can clamp from the angle you want and doesn't move when you're drilling. Theres a gauge on the side of the hex key so you know which setting to use for your wood.... I could go on and on. Big fan.
