Works great - has a base consumption
I'm using this as a step-up from 12V to 24V for a long-run for Starlink Mini. Note that it does have a base draw of 1 watt with no load (0.7A @ 14.5V). So even if you're not using the Starlink, this thing will eat some of your battery over time. Best to put the on/off switch BEFORE the input to this unit.

Perfect for Starlink Mini !
Great price, works well. Perfect for use as a voltage step-up for Starlink Mini - Mini does not like to run on 12V as well as 24V so this was a great way to get that done - it allows a much longer cable run and less gauge - in a large RV that saves $. Worth every penny !

Did it's job
This 24V to 12V step down converter initially worked great for my setup, but unfortunately, it eventually failed due to an improper grounding issue on my part. Here are my thoughts on this product:Pros:Effective Conversion: When properly installed, this converter works efficiently, providing a reliable 12V output from a 24V input. It’s a great solution for powering 12V devices from a 24V source.Compact Design: The converter is compact and easy to install, fitting neatly into various setups without taking up much space.Cons:Wire Gauge and Length: One area for improvement is the wire gauge and length. The wires are a bit too thin and short, making it somewhat challenging to work with, especially in setups that require more flexibility.Grounding Sensitivity: The device failed due to an improper grounding on my part. It seems to be quite sensitive to grounding issues, so ensuring a proper setup is crucial.Despite the failure caused by my grounding mistake, I believe this converter is a solid product. It performs well when installed correctly and offers a reliable step down from 24V to 12V.With slightly thicker and longer wires, this product would be even better. Overall, I would recommend it, but make sure to double-check your grounding to avoid any issues.Would recommend with a note of caution regarding installation!

This thing gets HOT! Possible fire hazard?
The media could not be loaded. I used a boost converter like this before to power my starlink and had no issues...this thing is scaring me. While it works just fine as far as providing 24v I need, it gets crazy hot. I measured the standby current to be around .8amps at 13.2v which is about 10 watts. It is powering my under sink reverse osmosis unit, which only draws power when being used for maybe a minute. The power supply that came with it was 70W so it's not like the load is high. It has not been in use prior to taking this video. With an ambient temp in the cabinet of 83F the thing is 165F while in standby with no load on it...it was too hot to hold with my bare hand while installing the screws which made it kind of difficult to install. I have a feeling it's not going to last long, and really concerned it may cause a fire. I am considering removing and replacing with a different brand, unfortunately I'm just past my return window as it took me a bit to get all the extra plumbing done installing the RO in a van.

Reliable
This was a perfect component for my son's school robotic project where we had to reduce our voltage so that we could run a motor component that required a smaller voltage than the main battery. It was very stable and worked well without any issues.

Works great.
I installed this in an older excavator 24 V. Only wasn't able to charge my phone very easy to install. Very small, easy to hide works awesome.
