Yes it cost a bunch more than those Harbor Freight green ones and way more than the pliers, but if you need to apply grommets quickly without having to manually handle the grommets each time and want to make sure they go all the way through... This is the machine for you. On testing it will punch cleanly through 6 layers of standard vinyl banner material. One piece metal grommets that get fed automatically into position. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago.

22 year old commercial sign shop. 10's of thousands of grommets placed one at a time. This stupid simple machine is a real game changer.

I’m using it to put grommets on banners. It’s a single layer banner and I really wish I had ignored some of the negative reviews a year ago. Running the cheap green press with the two part grommets was such a waste of energy. It comes with spare parts for what looks like the wear items.

Great product at a very good value but quality is isn't great and if the tool fails 1/3 the way into the generous supply of grommets you're left hanging.Not completely hanging, the Amazon store I purchased it from was willing to contact the manufacturer so that I could purchase a replacement. The process took several months. The brush that sweeps the grommets into the feeder appeared to have broken. Once the tool was disassembled it was clear that the shaft dislocated from the brush because the Chinese factory that produces the tools decided to use a penny's worth of glue to attach 100 brushes instead of 10. (Note the photo of the inside of the brush assembly.) Wish I had known that because glue would have been much quicker and easier to get.

Didn't expect this little gem to be so WONDERFUL!!Old grommet machine...lower die-set holds half grommet + upper grommet held in place while pressing down with the force of HERCULES to compress the grommet because of the short fulcrum arm.THIS grommet machine... pull handle, slide, repeat!It's THAT easy!

VERY POOR customer service so far. I received this unit at the beginning of last week, it seemed sturdy, and well made, but as soon as I started trying to grommet some very thin material I immediately started having issues. Finally after HOURS I literally tried to grommet a piece of paper, which it also couldn't grommet without defects. The first time I called customer service I was able to speak with a guy in their support department. He couldn't figure out the issue, and said that the manual was really insufficient for the product. He said he would call back, but never did. I called again and left a voicemail at the end of the week again,s and haven't heard anything back still. I requested a refund, and the company ignored my request, and I just had to file a claim. I would have been happy with being overnighted a replacement part, but since they can't manage to contact me, what I have is a $200 paper weight. After hours of tinkering with it trying to get it to work correctly, I finally realized it has a defective Die in it. Disappointed and frustrated with lack of response from this company.

This thing is awesome. Single sided grommets self pierce and wrap into them selves so no backer is needed. Works for 3mil PVC and banners perfectly. It even comes with replacement parts for anything that may wear over time. Since it includes 10k grommets it pays for itself a few times over.
