I purchased this product to care for the gray in my hubby's beard. The gray in his beard was turning yellow and was very dry. After using shimmering lights shampoo and conditioner, his beard is so soft and manageable, and so shiny!

I've tried a lot of purple shampoos, some cheap, some painfully expensive...and this one blows them all out of the water. It's hands-down my favorite. A little goes a long way, it doesn’t dry out my hair, and the results? Like I just walked out of a salon with a fresh toner. If you're after bright, cool-toned blonde without the price tag, this is the one.

**Update. I do t18 toners every month or so. I realized when I only washed my hair with this I don't have to do it as often. I actually could probably stop doing it, but my toning treatment with developer lightens my roots and makes my random grays look like platinum blonde so I still want to do it. I just can definitely stretch it out, and my hair looks so good now consistently by using this shampoo only every 5 days or so. ** I ordered the shimmering lights purple shampoo, and it works well. I thought I used to use this years ago where it looked like a different bottle, and I remember it being incredibly drying. This one isn't as drying, and my hair didn't feel like fried wheat after using it. It's not the most moisturizing, but it's definitely not overly drying like I was used to. Is this a new bottle and formulation or a different line of it? I don't know, but I'm really happy it's not so drying. I let it sit for a while, and I did notice it take out quite a bit of brassiness. I could let it sit in there longer, but I will just do another treatment and get even more effects from it. It also lathers really well, and I like the smell. I would actually reorder it, and it was a good value which is why I ordered it and then it turned out well, thank you.

Always so good!!! I have been platinum blonde my whole life & swear by this product. I've tried them all, big and small and this bottle really is magic.

I like the results using this shampoo. Gray hair looks great. As others have noted, the smell is not so great. If you are sensitive to stong smells this will likely be a problem. Hard for me to describe but cloves and spray paint come to mind. Consider the small size bottle to gauge acceptance. Mileage may vary. For me it was good for a point deduction. Pleasant smell would have been easy 5 stars.

High quality purple shampoo!!! Does not leave a purple hue to hair but still takes away the brassiness in gray hair.

It's an average purple shampoo, and it's pretty moisturizing which is nice if you have bleached hair. I felt like my hair was more frizzy after I used it which is weird because my hair seemed healthy and hydrated but I'm not sure. The only problem that some may have is that it has a pretty strong smell that's almost akin to synthetic cardomon or something, but it was subtle by the next day and not unpleasant in my opinion.

Lathers well, gets out the yellow and orange tones from boxed blonde dye. 3 stars because it is very drying. I used it once a week to get that ashy blonde I want and follow with a deep conditioner!
