Still a classic
So nostalgic to play this version with my 5 year old grandaughter. An easy game for them to learn quickly. Nice sturdy box and board. My only recommendation if the manufacturer is reading this, is that the plastic players don't stand up well, and keep falling down. If they can make the base a bit larger, I think it would help.

takes me back to my childhood
Now this is the board game I remember playing with my friends and family for hours and hours. I'm so glad I found this 1967 Retro board game and purchased it. I had purchased a Candyland board game for my son and it was nothing like I remembered I was so disappointed. I couldn't understand why this was my favorite game growing up. The one I had purchased for my son is much smaller, flimsy and just not the same. I found this one and we play this retro board game all the time. Now I remember why it was my favorite. I want to have game night, movie nights traditions with my children like I did when I was a child.

Retro 1967 Candyland Game well worth a few dollars more
We had purchased the $12.99 Candyland game for our little grand daughter to keep here at home when she comes over. That version seemed drab and boring (to us anyway) so we returned it and purchased the Retro 1967 Candyland game. It was just so much more colorful and fun and exciting for our grand daughter. We all enjoy it and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to spend a few dollars more for this version. Lots of fun for us all.

Not Actually a Land of Candy.
This is a fun game. I was hoping it was actually a ticket to a land made of candy, but maybe it's better that it's not. They made a movie about it and the top hat guy in that film had a messed up, dangerous, and I think he used slave labor to make the candy.Anyway. Fun game. Bought it as a gift and it went over well, and the retro theme is absolutely awesome.

Classic fun game
We cannot express how much our children, grandchildren and now great grand children have enjoyed this game. We have purchased many over the years and are now on a new game. Used so often we had to repurchase and repurchase. Teaches game fun to preschoolers and they learn to play game, colors, and counting. Add that to non electronic participation by all in the family.

Love the game, but the pieces fall down
Love the look of the board, reminds me of playing Candy Land with my grandmother when I was a kid. One thing to note, the pieces are very light and fall over too easily. It makes it hard for small kids to manipulate the pieces. If they had weighted the pieces a little better it would be perfect.Even with the wimpy pieces I highly recommend purchasing for a stroll down nostalgia lane - and a better version of Candy Land than the modern incarnations.

Wonderful Edition of Classic Game
I love this edition of Candy Land. I did not grow up with this era of board game graphics, but the artwork is simple and sweet, and gives it a more "loving" / special feel than the current graphics for the game that you can buy today at the store. Overall very happy with this buy. Have given a few as gifts as well and they've all been well-received :)
