I've used this 5 times and have yet to have a repair fail.The previous tool I used had a plastic handle and broke. This one is metal and feels more durable. So far, it's doing well.A few suggestions:1) How well you prepare the hole will determine the strength of the repair. After you remove the foreign body from the tire, you want to make sure the hole is clean and even. You're going to make the hole bigger, and rounder. You can use the included reaming tool, but that will definitely take some effort. Many people are lazy with this step, and that's why the plugs fail. I use a small 12V drill with regular drill bits to clean up the hole, which is much less effort.2) I generally don't even remove the wheel from the car/truck. In many cases, you don't even have to jack the vehicle up.3) Get a large bottle of rubber cement (I use the Gorilla brand one). It cost me $5, and there's enough in there for a bunch of plugs. I slather the entire hole and the plug with the contact cement before inserting. It'll act like a lubricant going in, and then ensure that the plug and tire fully adhere to each other, and seal the hole from any water intrusion.Overall, I'm very happy with this kit. I've said hundreds of dollars doing these repairs in-house.

Listen for the price it's a no brainer. If you ever have an emergency and you are stranded with help nowhere in sight this kit and a few cans of fix a flat will get you home.

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this item after reading several negative reviews describing the handle breaking off. I recently used it to plug a tire. If you use it properly by first piloting the hole, then inserting the plug with some provided glue for lubrication and eventually a tight seal you are not going to have any problems.

This was a very low price for a quality item. Great to have in car and easy for anyone to use.

Glue popped in the package. But the box was okay so im assuming it happend before being packaged. So I'm going to just buy new rubber cement instead of dealing with sending it back but the plugs look like basic plugs and a cheapo razor blade. The t handles are solid

My tire was penetrated by a broken small blade, probably from a pocket knife. I had to cut into the tread to pull the blade out. There was no instructions in the package, just a few pictures on Amazon. But I used the screw tool to push through the tire and squeeze a few cement drops on the screw tool and push it in and out a few time to get the cement lubs around the hole. With the plug pull halfway through the plunger and a few cement drops on both side of the plug, I pull the screw tool out and quickly push the plug through the hole on the tire unit just 1/2” of the plug still outside, I pulled the plug plunger out. The whole was sealed. I cut the extra plug outside plat. The tire hole was sealed. No pressure loss after one week.
