Q: My jar won't switch on. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. If you take the four screws out you'll notice that the wiring is wrong, the positive wire has been connected to the negative, and the negative to the positive. Therefore, not working, you'll need to take the back off and switch the wiring around. My brother did it and it works fine now, but send it back if not... the reason for this will be someone is doing it wrong and because they don't come with batteries they aren't checked before they are sent. Hope this helped, no wonder so many aren't working.

Q: Is it supposed to count coins of different denominations? Our counts everything as pounds! Very misleading for young savers

The electronics in this thing do not function as you would expect. It's a piece of junk.
