This is a quality item. The button cover is anodized aluminum not plastic like I thought from the photos. It lights a candle, gas stove, or even a piece of Kleenex RIGHT NOW. Flame/butane lighters are 19th century. The bend-y head is perfect for lighting a candle or getting down into a BBQ burner. I don't smoke, so can't say what it does for a cigarette, but you'd want a standard format lighter for that anyway.Gone are the days of snap-snap-snap-snapping a butane lighter while the gas is hissing away in the barbecue, then getting burned off eyebrows while sticking the weak, pathetic, about-to-go-out flame down into it and resulting mushroom cloud when it finally lights. Just put the arc-head anywhere near the BBQ burner, push the button so it's making its arc, then turn on the gas. As soon as the gas hits the arc, it's lit.It does hiss because the arc is 15,000 hertz in frequency. Expect a hissing sound that might bother your animals. It's not really a problem as it lights whatever your wanting on fire in only a few seconds at most.

The media could not be loaded.  I love that this doesn’t need gas or fuel. Recharging it with the included usb cord is very simple and convienent. Note, it doesn’t come with a wall plug for the usb cord though. I thought the cover would be spring loaded, but it’s not. It simply slides and locks in place open or shut to give access to the ignition button. It’s about the same size as any other candle lighter like this. The flex arm is a nice touch. My only complaint is that it gives off a super high pitch when using it. It bothered both me and the dog. Listen to my video, it picked up the noise. Luckily, it’s not on for long, so the few seconds of noise won’t stop me from using it. Overall very happy with it.

I decided to record my first ever use of it after fully charging it, so you can see how it works. I just made my first candle, so I demonstrated on it. It has an organic hemp wick that lights up pretty easily with this lighter.This product comes with a short USB cable but I tossed that in a drawer because it's just too short to be convenient. Overall, this is a fantastic lighter, especially for all you crazy smokers who love lighting up in the freezing cold, windy weather. I was you once. Now my warm bed is all I need... Get the lighter! 🕯

It turned out to be a piece of crap. I got no customer support. I threw it away. I gave it one star because that's the lowest I am allowed for this piece of garbage.

this was great for about two months of use but stopped working after a while, possibly from buildup of the dirty bits that came off the candle wick. not really surprised. still ordering another one because it is so much easier than traditional candle lighters that only last a short period of time.

Works extremely well! Love that it’s rechargeable so I don’t have to keep replacing. I just used my iPhone charge box to plug it in. Very flexible and stays in place in most positions (with in reason of course). Very nice packaging and easy instructions. Would recommend!!

I bought this to use for candles and it's perfect. I love that I can charge it and don't have to worry about buying stick lighters anymore.

Good starter. NOTE: This is not a GAS lighter. It just makes a spark. NO FLAME. It works well and as expected to light my burners in my camper.
