One test down and now two more to finished.. 😊
I use this book to study in groups and in my private time. The multiple subject study guide is required in California if you are to teach multiple subjects . I recieve many swell opinions about the text and how it helped my peers.

The Practice Tests Were Perfect
the book was a lot to try to work through, but the practice tests were perfect practice and so were the written practice exams. They were the closest to the actual questioning on the real test that I could find

This is the one
I purchased this book and the red covered CSET preparation books. I also used an online study course that included video tutorials. The online course and this book were the best combination. I'd study from one, then take the test in the other. After taking the 3 subtests, I think this book provides more than enough information to pass the test. That being said: The test questions can be tricky, if you aren't watching for it. They might ask what answer is NOT correct, just to catch you if you aren't paying attention. On the day of my test, I wasn't feeling well, so despite this great preparation, I feel like I could have had diminished capacity and fell for some of these "tricky" type questions. So, my recommendation to other test takers is not to take all 3 subtests at once, since sitting that long can be grueling and if you are having an off day, you may not have the endurance to keep up the level of concentration required.

Great for studying
I use many different ways to study for CSET. This by far was the best I was way more prepared for the test and I passed on the first try I strongly recommend this book for anyone trying to take this test. It gives great examples of short, answer questions and explains why the correct answers are the way they are.

Passed all 3 on the first try, and this book was of much value!!!
I like this book! I actually had a professor who recommend not buy any books like this saying that they are “all a waste of time” but honestly, I passed my first and third subsets, on the same day, taken for the first time, studying for only two weeks (intensely) using predominantly this as a source. I also used YouTube, and made tons of comics for the history, which for me was by far the hardest of all sections.I did use supplemental resources (study.com) for subset two, because I felt this wasn’t as strong for that, but still got a ton of value with the practice tests and questions. Passed that the first try as well!At the end of the day, these tests are expensive (and STRESSFUL!) Most of my peers are seemingly failing at least one section on their first try, and if this book makes a difference, it totally pays for itself. Also, I did try another book that was a few dollars cheaper first that had great reviews, and that was actually a huge waste of time (red cover).

Watch out for typos!! Ok practice tests but not entirely accurate to real test
First beware that this book contains typos (see the photos I posted above). Additionally, use the test preparation materials on the CSET website first to get a better sense of the types of questions used on the real tests. I found that the book asked for more specific knowledge (e.g. describe the dance of native american tribes) than the actual test (e.g. describe the dance style and significance in a culture of your choice)
