Worked well. A bit heavy and bulky

Some of the instructions are English gobbledygook translated from Chinese: "When using, make the short edges boards department towards the direction of the rolling wheels in to the place." It looks like I'll need to use stakes to hold the Escaper in place under the tire: "When using, clamping the product between the tire and the ground." Anyhow, if my light weight 2007 Honda Fit gets stuck in a little mud, I'll give it a try. If the mud is not too deep, I think the Escaper might work.

Bought for winter weather and these did not assist with a stuck car. Too short to function, more of a TJ Maxx gift section version tgan actual auto supply. Pay up for the real deal

Our elderly neighbor hadn’t cleared the snow by their mailbox (understandably) I didn’t realize of I would have shoveled it for them, anyway, the mail truck got stuck. All of the neighbors gathered round, trying to help. They had shovels, ice melt, boards… three men tried to push the truck free. I suddenly remembered that I’d bought these as a “just in case something ever happens” supply and tossed them into the back of my car. We slid them under the back tires of the mail truck and with a little more pushing from the front the truck was freed! One of the treads cracked so I’m ordering a replacement. I don’t think the treads would have cracked under a normal car or even a minivan but mail trucks are pretty sturdy and I’m sure they are fairly heavy. Any way, I’d highly recommend buying these. You never know when they might come in handy

Two of these, folded and stacked, measure 7"x11" x 2"--easily stowable under a car seat. Probably they don't work as well as the full sized traction boards, but you have to be a dedicated off-roader with plenty of roof rack space to carry those. I judge that these would be plenty sturdy enough and work well, on snow. It might take a little more patience than using big boards would, as these are only 21.5" long, unfolded. On rocky uneven surfaces, they might be more likely to break--but in some cases they might even be better than full sized boards, as they will conform more closely to the contours, and won't have a rigid span of more than 11".
