Great little tool , easy to use .

I had to purchase this for some new cupboard doors that didn't have holes for the hinges. Tried on old door, and worked well. Then used on one of the new doors. Everything went well, although having worked out about the screws to get distance from edge of door, I did feel the heads of the screws should have been a bit bigger to guide from the edge. The second door I tried, didn't work as well. For some reason the grub screw worked loose, and I had problems tightening up with the Allen key. As a result, the hole moved while drilling. It did work, but not as neat a job. Overall, it was acceptable. Saved me paying for a joiner to do this. As I now know what to watch out for, I would hopefully be able to do a neater job next time... if there is a next time. At the price, I'm happy enough that I've managed to fit my new doors (and no one will see the less than perfect second door).

Needed a kitchen cabinet door for an integrated washing machine sorted which the supplier never drilled the hinge holes. Was going to take ages to get it done and got this kit. Was perfect and very easy to use. Highly recommend.

An essential product for concealed hinges and very well made

I had a replacement door delivered, so had to drill new hinge holes. Never done it before, so bought the cheapest kit with decent reviews. The drill worked very well - let it do the work and don't force it. It would be a 5 star review if:1) Add a video instruction and paper instructions. The ones in the photo are not adequate (for me anyway!)2) A better solution for lining up the hole with the jig when fitting the cupboard plate.

Not sure what the jig is for exactly. The bit doesn't fit through the hole and you don't use the lip on the edge of your door else the hole would overlap the edge (as can be seen in photo 4 on the product images "How to Use"). The two screws in the edge also have no logical use - at least I couldn't find one.The bit was also pretty rubbish, drilled one hole OK but then seemed blunt and began to scorch the wood rather than cut through it. Abandoned and bought a different item which helped me finish the job.
