On a whim I decided last minute to make moon cakes for a retirement party and checked to see if there might be a mold that would get here quick enough. Not only did it come on time, this thing is absolutely sturdy and easy to use. I've never made moon cakes before but this made the task so much easier.

This set made making mooncakes so much easier and more fun. The press works smoothly, and the designs came out crisp on both the round and square molds. Cleaning is simple too. Perfect for first-time mooncake makers or anyone wanting to try festive baking at home.

Worked great for making Springerle cookies - install the press you want, lightly flour the top of the dough or the inside of the press, keeping the pattern mold at the top push the press frame down into the dough (cutting the outside edges of the cookie), then press down the spring handle to print the top of the cookie and release. The cookie will either stay on the rolled surface, or be "stuck" in the cookie mold - if that happens just push down again on the spring handle to release the cookie onto the cookie sheet, or while the spring handle is depressed gentle work it off the mold to release it, and maybe don't press down so hard or use more flour next time. Now I'm looking forward to making mooncakes.

I was excited to try these mooncake molds, but they turned out to be harder to use than I expected. The designs are nice, but the hand-pressure mechanism is a bit tricky to get right, especially when trying to achieve a clean pattern on the mooncakes. It takes some practice, and even then, the results aren’t always consistent. It’s okay for occasional use, but not ideal if you’re looking for something more user-friendly

This was used to make mints for the cake table at a wedding. Reminded me of an older model of a cookie press my mom used to have. Easy to assemble and use, as well as disassemble and clean. Will definitely be using this again in the near future. Also like the different types of "cutters" that comes with this.
