Removable bin is the selling point for me!
I am so happy with this product! Main reason I bought it, is because of the pull-out bin. I am older and arthritic enough that lifting a large bin and dumping the contents out is challenging. This totally fits my needs. The bind comes out easily, and hold a little over 5 gallons. It is so easy - I just put the plastic bag over the bin and turn it over. Done! It doesn't heat up fast, shreds like a beast, hasn't jammed at all, works perfectly so far. Haven't had to take advantage of the auto shut off yet, but feel assured it will work as it should. I do not regret one penny I spent on this, 'cause I think it is money well spent.

High Quality Shredded
My autistic son loves to shred paper. This shredder gets a workout. We have had this shredder for a couple months now. It works great. It is very durable. I feel safe shredding private documents which is a great security feature. Great value for the money .

A Paper Shredder That is Worth Every Penny!
Best paper shredder I have ever had! I especially like the fact that the drawer pulls out from the shredder easily and that makes it easier for me to empty without having to lift the heavy shredder off to empty. It cross cuts the paper which is better for security. I am also pleased that this shredder is on rollers so it is easy to move out of the way when not in use.

Good basic shredder
I bought this to replace a shredder that I managed to jam so badly that no amount of trying would dislodge the jam. So far, this new one works fine. I like that it has a pull out bin so I don’t have to remove the heavy shredding unit to dump the bin. The part that the shredder sits on seems a bit flimsy, which is most obvious when trying to slide the shredder into place. But once it’s locked into place it’s sturdy enough.

Reliable and Efficient Shredder for Home Office Use
The Fellowes 14C10 14-Sheet Cross-Cut Home Office Paper Shredder is an excellent addition to any home office, combining efficiency, durability, and security. With a 14-sheet capacity, it handles multiple sheets, credit cards, and staples effortlessly, shredding them into tiny pieces for maximum privacy. The 5-gallon bin is spacious and easy to empty, and the clear window helps monitor when it’s full. The shredder is well-built, runs smoothly without overheating, and includes a safety lock—great for households with kids. While not silent, the noise level is reasonable and doesn’t disrupt work. For its price, this shredder offers fantastic value and is a must-have for organizing and protecting sensitive information.

Trusted Brand
Reliable and dependable brand. I still have my Fellowes shredder that was purchased approximately 14 years ago, and it still works great with the exception of blades being dull after many years of use, so blades do not cut to full satisfactory as in past. This is the only reason for purchasing this new shredder which is also a Fellowes. I did consider other brands but decided to stick with the Fellowes shredders because it has been proven to me that this brand will endure and last. Fellowes shredders seem to be built to be tough against abusive use. This shredder is a valuable purchase for the money spent for it. The cost is far less than what was paid for my first Fellowes. However, it has good features as described. Works great, although I find it to be a little noise, not quiet as described. Overall numerous positive reviews. Worth buying at valuable price!!

Good price and operation - BUT - "meh" capacity, frustrating design flaws
HEIGHT:The height (paper slot height ~ 18 inches from floor without wheels, 19-1/2 inches with wheels attached) might be fine when working at a desk, but I modified mine by raising it onto a platform, which I find more comfortable to feed while either sitting or standing.STURDINESS:The shredder could be more solidly built. The back and sides of the shredder need to align just right in order for their small plastic tabs to be worked into the slots on the the heavy motorized top. Could have been manufactured with a little more beef to make it fit together firmly, easily, and without feeling cheap.ICON DESIGN:The icons for on/off, forward and reverse are frustrating and unnecessarily confusing. There are TWO symbols corresponding to each of these settings. One of the most important of these makes no sense at all: the universal "power on/of" sign is instead used for the "OFF ONLY” position. To turn the shredder on on, you switch from “power” to "forward" or "reverse" - but since the switch has no indicator line (just a raised black-on-black bump) - you’ll need to practice braille to work it in a dimly lit room. I give their icon design a zero star rating.OILING INSTRUCTIONS OMITTED:There's a small icon on the top indicating that oil should be added to the paper slot, but oiling instructions were not included with the documentation. I had to find the instructional video online (it involves oiling each time you empty the bin, and running the shredder in reverse during and after the oil application).CHILDPROOFING:I give them credit for adding TWO different ways to "lock" the shredder from being easily turned on (good if you have young children around). There's a front lock switch and a (much harder to spot) on/off switch at the rear of the machine. You can also unplug it, of course!NOISE:This shredder is louder than my old one. This could get annoying if you share the space with someone else, if you don't like loud noises, or if you expect to be subjected to it for extended periods of time.EATS 12 SHEETS:I fed it 12 sheets of 20-lb paper at once, and it did shred them without issue - true to advertising.PAPER FEED:I wish the feed slot was a hair wider, so I wouldn't have to "jog" each batch of sheets in order to feed it exactly side-to side into the slot. It would also be nice if the slot design could guide the paper toward the opening, so I don’t have to struggle to line up the proper entry position.OVERALL:The shredder does it's job well so far. The price compares favorably with others of similar reputation. My complaints mainly with poor design and ergonomics. I've made a few modifications to make it work better for me (removing the wheels and adding height by putting it on a platform). I plan keep it despite these issues, and I will print my own icon labels to make the on/off - feed switch more intuitive.
