These really are super sharp and they do indeed have soft grip handles . purchased to replace a pair of japanese steel manicure scissors which i purchased about 15 years ago , but, have sadly misplaced, they appear similar quality, hope they last as long

I make wooden models of period sailing ships, and one thing that is an essential tool is a good quality pair of scissors to cut the thread used for rigging. Something that cuts cleanly, is easy to manipulate, narrow blades to get into small areas, and holds it's edge so there's no fraying.These are about as close to perfect as I've found. 6 years later and they are still going strong. The centre joint has not degraded at all, the grips have maintained their shape and form (unlike a different pair I tried where the grips decayed and melted within 12 months). I've not had cause to sharpen these yet and I have used them a fair bit for the original purchase, and for cutting decals for plastic kits.These scissors are light, very easy to hold and use, do not strain the fingers and are just about the right size to get a thumb and forefinger in to use. I've gone through a number of scissors over the years but this one has definitely stood up well to everything I've used them for.Highly recommended for people like myself that need precision scissors, and for people who like needlecraft projects such as tapestry.Worth every penny.

They work good. They are sharp, not the smoothest of action compared to my Fiskers that are similar but cost more, but they certainly did the job. I used them to trim around the doggo's face and it did a good job. The hair around his face is very thick in places like around his cheeks. The size of the scissors meant I could carefully snip his whiskers which were covered in crusty food remnants that would not wash off. I was able to get those little bits that curl inside his mouth as well as the scissors work well at the tips; some cheaper scissors fall down on this aspect, but these were fine. In fact I'm liking them a lot they are very flat and pointy unlike my nail scissors; I just think these Wescott scissors seem a bit better for whiskery hairs. The rather stiff action did loosen up a bit when used; they tend to make a grinding sound as well but it doesn't seem to affect the cutting. I think they are excellent for the price, they are very comfortable and secure to hold, I do recommend them, they work well and I mean look at the price: well worth it to add to your order as I did. The dog now has his own beard scissors. EDIT: Hello again, so the little yellow ring things keep slipping out of the finger holes. I mean the scissors are still usable without them but not so comfy because the bare plastic is not moulded for fingers it is just kind of raw without the rubber rings in the holes. I was using them to trim doggo's feet and they did a great job but..well I suppose I'd better order some super glue and glue the ring things in. Oh well.

I originally bought these scissors for their slightly curved tips which could get in to tiny spaces to trim threads, but they have become my go to scissors for a lot of sewing and crafting tasks, they are light, with good handle grip and super sharp!

This is the 3rd pair I have bought because I keep losing them (I do find them again in my many unfinished crochet projects). They are ideal for yarn and thread and incredibly sharp. I am left handed and have no problem using them. Very effective and the price is excellent for the quality. Review is asking me to comment on the look of them. Well they look like a pair of scissors! Not sure what else I can say about that.

I like the scissors very much as I sew a lot (most days) and they're always by my side.However there seems to be a design fault as the plastic on both finger holes has now broken.
