I have suffered from Tendonitis in my right knee for quite some time. I have had great difficulty walking and bending the knee and have had to resort to using crutches. I have tried a myriad different ways to achieve some form of comfort but have had no success. A suggestion from a friend led me to investigate the world of kneebraces. I say world because there are literally hundreds of them. I chose the Neo G Medical Grade Patella Kneebrace because it fell exactly within a wish list of must-haves that I had drawn-up. Must be a universal fit for varying sizes; must be universal for left of right knee; must be washable; must have side hinges and metal supports; must be easy to fit without recourse to threading foot through and pulling up the leg into position; give sufficient support to achieve necessary comfort: comfort being the operative word. I have been wearing this kneebrace for a week now and can say, in all honesty, that it does all that it says on the box. I have had tremendous relief. I can now walk without crutches and bend my knee slightly. Hopefully the affected tendons are now healing as there is now no untoward strain being put on them. I thoroughly recommend this marvellous devise to anyone with a similar affliction to mine.

I saw much more expensive knee supports with metal braces online. This really is a well designed and bought a product and works well. I use it whenever I go to the gym When exercising to provide lateral stability after my meniscus tear. My only caveat would be easier if you where are you daily, you would need to use loose fitting trousers. And while you could wear it Dailey, it can get a bit sweaty Betty so my recommendation would be to use it. Where are you doing activities that require Lateral stability, rather than just general juice, or after an operation for support for a limited period of time. It’s always a tossup whether to wear a brace constantly or just when you need it because you want the muscles around the joint has been supported to build up a certain amount of strength.

I have a long history of problems with knees, hips and feet. I'm about to have an operation that will make me keep my left foot off the ground for six months, leaving me to hop around on crutches and my right leg only. And it's just at this point that the fibula in my right knee decides to dislocate and play up. I have a few weeks to sort it out or I'll be stuck, completely immobile.In desperation I decided to buy this fairly heavy duty knee brace but I didn't hold out much hope for a miracle cure. Ordering and delivery were swift, easy and the brace arrived much more quickly than I had expected.OK, now this is the part where I sound like the 'stooge' at a faith healer show. I wore this brace for one full day and I really felt the benefit. It did feel very bulky and distinctly odd and I realised that I hadn't positioned it perfectly on this first outing. But the real surprise was when I got home at the end of the day and took it off. My weak knee felt 50 times better than it had that morning. And it didn't wear off; I felt a real and permanent improvement.So, next morning, I was a bit more careful about positioning it just right and it felt much more comfortable and less obtrusive all day. That night there was a further improvement. Now I know that this doesn't count as a 'miracle cure' but, boy, am I impressed!To be clear; I don't have a debilitating injury and I think that I just needed a bit of proper support to help my knee heal itself and, for that, this knee brace has performed brilliantly. Although one of the more up market braces (heavier and with metal hinges), the cost pales into insignificance compared to what it has done to help me. And it won't exactly beak the bank in the first place. I have read reviews saying that, after a while, you don't notice that you're wearing it. Well that hasn't been true for me and, on me, it is pretty bulky, but that's a tiny compromise for getting my mobility back and ridding myself of the constant and nagging ache in my knee. I've had this particular knee injury for more than four months and it just wasn't getting any better.There may be other products out there that do the same thing, possibly more cheaply; I don't know because I haven't tried anything but this. What I can say is that this brace really, really, worked (and continues to work) for me and, as fully paid up cynic, I'm amazed!

Avoid if you have a swollen knee. Strap is just not long enough. Very painful to use. Might be OK for super fit and slim athletes, but for normal folk this is useless, I've binned it. No option to return this unfortunately. Will not shop with this seller ever again

I bought this because I suffered a minor injure while playing sports, but I wanted to keep playing - and also, I wanted to prevent another injure in the future.The "Neo G MEDICAL GRADE ADVANCED HINGED OPEN PATELLA KNEE BRACE/SUPPORT" allows me to keep playing sports without feeling pain and also helps me be more confident that another injure will not happen.I also have a "Neo G MEDICAL GRADE STABILISED OPEN KNEE with PATELLA SUPPORT- THE ULTIMATE SKIERS SUPPORT" which I find more comfortable, that I use on my other knee that is not injured, for prevention.If you don't have an injured knee, and just want support for prevention purposes, I would go for the "Neo G MEDICAL GRADE STABILISED OPEN KNEE with PATELLA SUPPORT". However, if you do need more support, the "Neo G MEDICAL GRADE ADVANCED HINGED OPEN PATELLA KNEE BRACE/SUPPORT" gives you extra support and is comfortable enough to use for a couple of hours.As other Neo G products that I bought (such as "Neo-G ANKLE BRACE SUPPORT"), I find them easy to use, comfortable and of good quality.I recommend them!

Fairly good item, gives support, however the stitching has started to come away so the metal supports pop out.
