The Rear View Mirror Assist Camera is Only Compatible with 2011-2015 Ford Explorer Rear View Mirror Backup Camera OE Number BB5Z-19G490-A

Purchased this as a replacement for the OEM reverse for a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT. This product works just as described and (in my opinion) has a much clearer picture than the original OEM.Installation: Simple plug and play. Took about 15 minutes.Picture Quality: Much clearer than OEM (again, in my opinion). I notice that the wider angle shows a bit more of the license plate on the bottom of the picture as well, but that is no issue at all for me. As of 1-2 weeks of use, I have yet to have any issue. Picture shows up immediately with no delay. Nighttime picture is clear and perfect. The parking assist lines showed up just as original did with no offset.I would definitely recommend to any other Ford Explorer owners.

This is a very good camera,I have a 2012 ford explorer xlt awd. I ordered it yesterday morning and I got it sometime after 4pm same day, the camera is so bright and it also has all of the back up indicators as well . I didn't thought they would of come back.. so its as advertised. Ill let you guys know how it is after some time have passed. But its good so far. So its a good deal.

Replaced the factory camera and it worked just fine. Like new again.

This camera is very clear and clean when i put my car in reverse. It is a great replacement option. The o ly downside is that the parking assist line that sits in the middle of the camera view is off center and unfortunately i cannot turn the parking assist off for this camera. The original camera on my car i could turn that feature off. With this one you have to basically adjust you parking to accommodate for the off center line on the camera. Otherwise not bad at all.

Started getting the “camera not available, see dealership” black screen about 50% of the time when reversing. Consulted dealer, and they quoted $1032.54 for the repair. $539 for the cam, 2hrs labor $370, plus tax and shop fee. I replaced the cam with this one myself in 15 minutes after watching a YouTube video. Video quality seems exactly the same, as well as the red/yellow/green bars. My vehicle doesn’t have the steering lines, and this camera doesn’t either(I think this is a vehicle specific situation). Typically I like to buy OEM parts for my vehicles, but $539 for a backup camera for a 10+ year old vehicle was hard to justify. I could buy 13 of these cameras for the price of 1 OEM. This was a 95% savings.

Ok for the price but not as good as the OEM camera replacement. Lines are not aligned properly and tighter than original camera's view. You get what you pay for.

Works great just like the stock one
