Good, reliable extension
I bought this Panasonic extension handset from Amazon Warehouse. It joins another handset I bought around 10 years ago. They both connect to a Panasonic base station (with handset) that's around 5 years old. They all work fine with one another. Thank goodness for DECT/GAP technology! Like the other handsets, this one includes a loudspeaker, for hands-free talking; and although the monochrome display is a bit jaggy and low-res, you can read what it says and work through the setup routine pretty easily. (If you have setup other Panasonic handsets, it's roughly the same.) You can customise the ring tone and its volume, and you can adjust the volume of the person you're talking to, at least when using the speaker option. It picks-up the time, date, status and any stored phone numbers from the base station after you complete the pairing process. Pairing is easy, and it's in the 'Initial setup' menu - just as well, as there was no manual in the box. Before you start to pair, (a) position yourself close to the base station; and (b) make sure you know the base station PIN. (If in doubt, try 0000.) Then (c) follow the pairing process which you find in the 'Initial setup' menu on this handset. During this it will ask you for the base station PIN, then invite you to press the 'wireless' symbol on the base station. That should do it so long as you've not exceeded the number of extensions your base station will support. Sound quality, like that of my other Panasonic handsets, is very good. Build quality of the handset is OK; the charger-cum-rest that's provided is pretty light. Initial charge takes hours. I'm giving 4 stars not 5 simply because they moved the 'speaker' button to the bottom of the keypad, whereas on the other handsets it's one of the 4 buttons grouped around the big round button at the top. The new position makes it impossible to switch to speaker mode with one hand, as I can with the other handsets. (Designers, eh?) As this is a DECT/GAP device it *should* work with non-Panasonic DECT/GAP systems as well.

New home phones, designed to be connected to the home modem as the copper cables are retired.
I bought a set of phones for the purpose of connecting to the modem, as a result of the cut off of the land line, but, unfortunately, the first ones I got were hard to set up, had poor volume, and awkward setting up process, so I abandoned them, and got my money back, and got these ones, which proved to be easy to set up, automatically talking to each other and syncing the phonebook, and, when I got a third phone for upstairs, once I had charged it ready for use, took it upstairs, it would not sync, then I took back to the main unit, and saw a button I had to press there, and I was instantly synced, so they were all working together, a good design, and no trouble on the modem.

Handy Handset
According to my local Panasonic Store these don't exist! I must admit there aren't that many suppliers and I was about to buy a new set of phones. Fortunately I found this and it matches exactly my current set. It was easy to link and works as it should. If you turn up the volume and press the noise reduction button there should be no issues with call volume either.

Not satisfied at all
Not satisfied at all. Came without any instructions and any attempts to get them working has failed. I wanted to return them as soon as possible. Unfortunately I fell ill and the phones are still sitting idle!

Stylish looking both the phone and the base.
The looks modern stylish and smart. Takes up very little space. As with all the phones, check where you want to put it in relation to where the input line and electric sockets are, will the cables reach ?

Came with European two pin plug
Good product which linked to our existing handsets. Came with European two pin plug though and I can't see this in the description.

Great for the price.
As a phone it works fine. It replaces an older Panasonic system I had but a bit disappointed that the display is so blocky and basic. Menu is a bit slow as well. Good that it transfers phone book automatically between handsets. For the price it's a good deal.
