In terms of soldering, this stuff did its job, the issue I had was my fault due to my own inexperience.If you're a newbie to soldering like I was and are trying to Solder something like Controller Thumbsticks, this stuff is going to get really sticky and sappy.What you want is the "clear no-clean flux" type for controllers and stuff. It cleans better.This stuff is basically like setting syrupy sap on fire on your circuit board, and the more isopropyl you use to clean it off, the more it gets everywhere, never really getting clean.Also, if you're dealing with Thumbsticks/buttons like I was, keep in mind that the stuff is sticky and hardens when cooled off, meaning that the isopropyl has a chance of washing/guiding the flux you're cleaning off INTO the button/thumbstick, HARDENING, rendering your button inoperable. This is fine, you just need to keep flushing out the button with isopropyl and compressed air until you finally flush that sticky flux out preventing the button from working. I noticed my L3/R3 buttons stopped working after a Thumbstick replacement job, just had to keep putting isopropyl drops and blowing out with compressed air can until it finally got flux out.Flux is a necessary evil, you absolutely HAVE to use it when soldering/desoldering, this stuff is just a lot harder to clean than the clear no-clean type flux. Do some research, so if your job actually needs this type, because I wouldn't use it personally if I didn't have to. It works well, the cleaning is just a lot harder.

I am new to soldering my own guitar stuff, but I know to use flux, this stuff works great once you figure out how much to let out. Sets up solder perfect and this bottle goes a long way.

Labeled as “no clean,” but it definitely benefits from a good cleanup afterward. That said, it works great and gets the job done effectively.

As good a traditional rosin flux as I've used. It leaves a residue like any other RMA flux, with the amount highly dependent on the amount applied by the user. You need very little. Residue cleans up easily with isopropyl alcohol (I use an acid brush with bristles cut to about 3/8").The original snout must be removed before installing the included dispenser top. Pry the old top up just above the threads on the bottle.

High quality soldering flux which is improves solder joints. It is further enhanced by an easy to use dispenser. I highly recommend this product for delicate electronics soldering.

Why did I wait so long to get this stuff? After years of using rosin core solder with decent results, this stuff has finally allowed me to get the soldering results I expected and are commensurate with my skills. If you plan to solder more than 5 times ever, get this stuff. It's worth it.

This flux works fantastic!! Most negative reviews appear to be made by folks who don’t really understand working with flux. Good flux is typically VERY sticky… almost like tree sap. It cleans off easily with acetone (nail polish remover, carb cleaner, or brake cleaner all work great)The cap/tip that comes with the bottle works VERY good and makes the flux application much easier onto small wires, BUT, it’s a little hard to figure out. You HAVE to remove the small plastic tip that’s installed BEFORE you can screw on the metal tip. If you simply push the plastic tip to the side, it should pop out. Then you can screw on the metal tip. Would be helpful if they included some instructions to explain this… took me a while to figure it out at first. But once that’s installed, you’ll find that this stuff works really well.It is also a LOT of flux compared to those annoying flux pens that tend to either go dry OR dump a crapload of flux on your wires…. almost never the exact amount you need :) This bottle however, makes it super easy to get the exact amount you need, every time.If the metal tip gets clogged (which will likely happen at some point) heat the tip up a bit with a small heat gun or lighter and it should free up easily.
