I love trying new teas, so when this popped up I was very intrigued, Tree bark tea that comes out pink - colour me interested!Before brewing it up I did some internet research and discovered The bark of the Caesalpinia sappan tree, also known as sappanwood, has many uses, including medicinal properties, food colouring, and other purposes.So it sounds very interesting, and the medical uses are wide and varied, you would need to check yourself if its suitable for your condition.Regarding brewing you need to boil the bark with water for 2 minutes and strain, on its own its not a particularly pleasant taste, pretty much what you would imagine boiled tree bark tastes like, rather woody!I read some suggestions to add green tea, mint leaves and honey which makes a much more palatable drink, and its PINK!
