Excellent piece of kit and diagnosed my ABS fault straight away.
Was a bit sceptical about what this ODB reader could read as I have an ABS fault and most of the cheap ones including the ODBeleven reader I already have don't read these systems. The description from the Amazon listing and the Topdon website was a bit vague about the level of fault diagnosis. Downloaded the app for my phone, created an account, registered the device, selected my car make and did a full scan as per the simple instruction card.It found the fault and details the exact issue with a rear speed sensor. Saved me loads of time trying to determine the fault manually. Highly recommended. I know its a subscription model but my plan is to let the subscription expire after the 1 year that's included and then if i get further faults I will just resubscribe for a year. That's a significant saving over paying £200 plus for a code reader that can do this level of diagnostics.

Download the software!
This was used on an E Class Mercedes Coupe. OOB it read all the basic fsult codes fine. Once the Mercedes software was downloaded (£25.00ish) it read evry code stored and cleared them. Just saved me £65 for Mercedes to read the codes, £210.00 to clear them, and £210.00 to wipe some dirt off a sensor in the car. 100% great purchase.

Check tpms or reset after new sensor replacement
Tpms instructions are poor, my kia rio 2015 just had a light on (this model does not have a reset button near the steering colum some do)(mine was a dead sensor), get the app plugin dongle turn ignition on (pair the dongle), then do the full scan, and tpms errors are in the tpms section (like a none working sensor) after sensor replacment and correct tyre pressures do another scan (my tyre shop didnt clear the old fault codes), clear the fault codes whith the "clear dtc codes" then scan again to make sure there are no more errors, with no errors now the light should be OUT, if the light come on again in say a week or more check tyre pressures, was hard work working out how to use the carpal dongle but with a full scan it tells you the fault if any.

!!!it is worth every single penny!!!
While initially hesitant due to prior negative experiences, this product proved exceptionally valuable. Its rapid pairing, intuitive app, and straightforward setup (select car brand, download software) were highly efficient. Addressing a DPF issue in my Mazda, this tool facilitated a £200 saving by enabling DPF regeneration through clear, step-by-step instructions. I strongly recommend this product.

Great piece of kit get one
I bought this as i tried a cheap one first, then a friend's son whos a mechanic brought a so called top one from his works, neither found why the abs esp warning lights were on. Read the reviews on this car pall and thought for the price worth a punt.Just plugged in set up Bluetooth told me I'm in a mercedes pressed full health check, it the directed me to a mercedes software download for the car took about 15 min. Pressed full health check again, it then started scanning the car for faults , it found 5 faults including faults on 2 wheel speed sensors pinpointed front left and back rightwhich is the cause of the abs fault, also found parking sensor fault which have not worked since my daughter hit another car, also a fault on mirror heater which i was aware of since the wife smashed that one( women !!!! Lol) Great little gizmo get one

Excellent!
Fantastic device! I've been having issues with my dpf light, which this has solved. Previously I've had to take it to the garage and pay a premium for what this does for less than 1 hours labour.

Top-Notch Fault Finding Topdon Code Reader
Having experienced a few faults with my aging Ford Focus - blinking warning lights all over the display console - I was struggling to keep my cool; one day, it was the yellow MIL warning, next day it was a 'Transmission Failure' and the next day it was battery indication showing failure. Faced with the prospect of taking the car to a dealer and paying up to £100 for an analytical scan, I decided to plug in the new Topdon OB2 Tester.Simple to use - a delight to use, actually - it booted up from the get-go, told me what the faults were, and cleared all the fault codes, with ample aplomb. I'm not too technical-minded, but the Topdon had so much information built-into its system that it's a gizmo you can use straight from the box. It's so impressive for numpties like me, and the information it relayed as to the state of the car's systems was displayed in a suitably understandable and user-friendly manner. There's just too much for me to go into detail, but I guess most users will use it for OBD Fault Code identification and clearance - and the Topdon does a fantastic job at both. There's so much more: data regarding your own car that you can download and read; maintenance help and suggestions; and a whole plethora of related info that is specific to your car - right down to the VIN number.Sure, an information leaflet comes with the Topdon, but to be honest, guys (and gals) you won't need it; just plug and play. The Focus, cured of all Code Faults, ran for another week or so, then started displaying flashing lights again; narrowing down the cause, I suspected the soldered joints at back of the display unit were compromised (a common Focus glitch) and, sure enough, after re-soldering the offending items, it was back to normal again. But the Topdon again earned its stripes by clearing remaining Fault Codes caused by the glitch. It's as small as a cigarette packet, as light as a feather, and fits in your glovebox, pocket, wherever. Take it with you, fix your car's faults without paying exorbitant garage fees, and never look back. Foolproof, essential, and up to the usual Topdon quality standards - which I swear by. This tool, worth its weight in gold, and a lifesaver if you ever get stuck out in the countryside with a Fault Code, should be part of everyman's tool kit.It talks to a mobile phone or laptop, using Bluetooth, so the information is clearly readable and acted upon, and I would give this tool a 5/5 score for quality, usefulness and instantaneous results. Get one, you won't regret it.Giving it a high score is easy enough, as such Topdon products seem to be perfection in what they do.Quality: 10/10Usefulness: 10/10Handiness: 10/10
