very lightweight; folds down to almost nothing; I compared it to 34" Glow BD
I ordered the FOMITO 120cm (47”) softbox through the Amazon Vine program so I could compare it to the 34” Glow Beauty Dish I bought myself a year or so ago.General observations:The FOMITO is a silver softbox with two baffles and a grid. The Glow is a white beauty dish with a deflector plate, two baffles, and a grid. For the test shots, I left the Glow deflector plate off so it was used as a softbox. The Glow dish is an umbrella-style with 16 ribs compared to the outer 8 ribs of the octabox; so the Glow is slightly rounder. The Glow is noticeably heavier, though not so much that I feel reluctant to use it on location. The FOMITO is very light and folds down flat for very easy storage and transport. The weight difference translates to feel. The FOMITO feels less sturdy and, indeed, the ribs did flex a bit and somewhat deform the shape of the front surface when the velcro of the grid was in place. This was temporary and the unit has not been damaged in the time I have been using it.Both are very easy to set up and get shooting. The inner baffle of the Glow has a central area of double thickness diffuser to reduce hotspots. It attaches via snaps whereas the internal baffle of the FOMITO is single thickness across the entire surface and attaches via Velcro. The Velcro fittings aren’t great and the internal baffle of the FOMITO tends to sag and wrinkle in place whereas the Glow baffle is tight. The grids appear pretty much identical with both; they’re 1.5” (~4cm) deep for both.Test Images:I set up a quick lighting test using a standardized set-up. To keep things matched, I did not use the deflector plate of the Glow beauty dish for any test shots. As a subject I used a styrofoam (polystyrene) head with wooly hat set up 60” (1.5m) from the center of the lightstand. On the lightstand I had a Westcott FJ400. I then mounted each modifier such that the lower edge was at the eye level of the subject and took a series of test pics with and without the baffles and grid. To standardize, I used a light meter and adjusted FJ400 output such that the light hitting the subject was always at f7.1. The power setting is on the images. The larger modifier (FOMITO) usually gave a softer shadow as seen most clearly in the shadow cast by the subject onto the wall (which was 4.5 ft…approx. 140cm…behind the subject). This was not the case in the images without the baffles or grid where the silver interior of the FOMITO was much punchier than the white interior of the Glow. The unmodified FOMITO also needed more power to deliver the f7.1 light presumably because it was spread over the larger surface area of the reflector. Once the baffles were in place the FOMITO was noticeably softer as expected from its larger size.Overall, there’s not a lot to choose from between these two modifiers. I like the flexibility of the beauty dish which has the deflector plate, but a larger modifier gives me the chance to move the light a little further away from my subject while not losing softness. I think the Glow unit will turn out to be more durable, though I have already had one of the snap tabs on the inner baffle tear off. If I was having to walk any distance to a location, the weight of the FOMITO would make it my first choice, but the Glow is no elephant. I’m happy having both in the closet ready as needed.

Great size, easy connection, quality materials
This is a nice nearly 4-foot wide octogonal softbox. The materials are sturdy and seem quite resilient, I have no worries when setting up or putting away that something will rip or break.Opening the softbox is simple, there is a nice wide lever to assist with the process and it works quite nicely. I like that this folds open like opening a book, rather than a beach umbrella. Nice design! The softbox affixes to your light or other bowens mount device quite easily. You can directly affix, or remove the mounting plate from the softbox, affix to the light, then clip the softbox back onto the mounting plate. The double layer of diffusers work nicely to soften the light. The inner diffuser completely covers the inner area of the softbox (no gaps around the edges), while the outer layer does the same to a velcro strip around the entire rim of the softbox. With the inner and outer diffusers in place, the softbox can be collapsed and stored, but it is a bit more difficult to do so. The bag that it comes with is great as well! Very durable material that will hold up well in transport.Nice softbox! Soft light, quality materials, and easy to both setup and collapse.

Fantastic Product :) Very good quality 47" / 120cm Softbox from FOMITO
Fantastic Product :) Very good quality 47" / 120cm Softbox from FOMITOWow, this softbox diffusers is a great product, for low price under $100!I own 2x Aputure Light Dome Softbox Diffuser on different size, 35" & 23", but I wanted to have biggersoftbox to use on my new mobile filming rig. This mobile filming rig setup it makes my job much easier, that I don't have to make the set everytime I need to film.So for the mobile filming rig, I needed a bigger softbox because the physical distance is needed compare to the stand that I can have just the lighting next to me and the camera on other side. This softbox is well made, good material and easy to install with the quick locking system, it's great.I never heard about this company before, but the quality of the product is good! Also, it comes with inner diffuser sheet, outer diffuser sheet, Grids and carrying bag

Cons: You need to attach the white cloth
The media could not be loaded. What I do not like:You need to attach the external and internal diffuser cloth with the velcro, is easy but is one more step. Some others already have the white cloth attached permanently.Renders a soft lightWhat I like:OK quality but there are more quality offers for same priceHas a grid and carrying bagquick to assemble

Not bad
Not too shabby. I mostly use this for interview setups when filming in the studio or client interviews/talking head videos. The fabric is quality and the diffusion renders some really nice, soft light and spread. My favorite thing is that this doesn't require the rods to be put in each time the the softbox needs to be built. The travel bag is nice and I like that it keeps all of the diffusion and eggcrates in one place. I recommend.
